Kraft Dinner is making headlines again, this time with a collaboration that’s catching everyone off guard: a cream soda infused with KD’s signature cheesy flavor. Teaming up with Toronto’s Solly’s Craft Soda, they’ve crafted a drink that promises both nostalgia and a bold new taste. The brand teased the launch with a mysterious “Drink outside the box” campaign, dropping hints on social media that sparked plenty of speculation. When the official announcement finally landed on Wednesday, reactions were all over the map—some fans were excited, others just confused, but the buzz was undeniable. For those curious enough, the soda hit Amazon on September 23 and is rolling out to select retailers in early October.
This isn’t Kraft Dinner’s first foray into unexpected territory. Over the past few months, they’ve unveiled everything from KD ramen to a wild mac and cheese smoothie at the Canadian National Exhibition, and even a Mac & Cheesecake. Each release seems to push the boundaries of what you’d expect from a classic mac and cheese brand. According to Kraft, the idea for this soda came from fans who aren’t afraid to experiment—think extra cheese powder or wild “KD hacks” that go viral on TikTok. Solly’s Craft Soda founder Adin Wener called the project “wonderfully strange,” but insists it works, and it’s hard not to respect the creativity behind it all.
