Reader here, and I have a question for you.
When parking your vehicle, have you ever found yourself in a sticky situation, when it comes to getting your vehicle out?
Maybe you’ve gone to a game and found your car boxed in, so that you’re trapped until the other vehicles move.
Perhaps you’re in a parking lot, and another vehicle has pulled in so close beside you, that you’re afraid to back out, for fear of hitting them.
Or maybe, you find yourself in the odd situation I did, when I was out and about with the Cruzmobile over the weekend.
First, let me provide some context.
On Saturday night, I was live on location at the Painted Hand Casino, as it was the big night for the grand prize giveaway for their “RV There Yet?” promotion, that saw one winner, from across SIGA’s seven casinos across the province, win a $250,000 tricked-out R.V..
When we’re on location, we always want to make sure our vehicles are nice and visible, so that you guys know we’re there.
To that end, I pulled up to a spot that I was at the edge of the PHC parking lot, close to Broadway, where drivers would see us. I set up the speakers, and in I went, for my remote.
I did park across two spots, but I figured I was far enough away, that I wouldn’t be boxed in.
I thought wrong.
When it came to pack up after my remote was over, this is what I found…
Serves me right, I s’pose.
However, when I first saw this, my mind immediately went here…
My current situation? Not so groovy, baby!
But, there was a silver lining.
As you can see, I wasn’t in such a tight spot as Austin Powers.
I had a little bit more wiggle room, and thanks to some slow, careful back and forth maneuvering, and the help of the Cruzmobile’s backup camera, I was able to get out of that tight spot, without any vehicle suffering so much as a scratch. (Annnnnd… exhale!)
I will say, I’ve learned my lesson, and will make sure I find more convenient parking spots from now on!
