You know how the song goes… “friendship never ends” and all that.
And Mel C, aka Sporty Spice of the Spice Girls is saying that she and the other band mates friendship really doesnever end… because they want to bring their limited reunion tour to more dates and cities across the world.
Mel C along with Geri Halliwell Horner (Ginger Spice), Melanie “Mel B” Brown (Scary Spice), and Emma Bunton(Baby Spice) just wrapped a 13-date reunion tour playing stadiums in the UK, and while the tour actually started off with some difficult technical difficulties, the rest of the shows went well and the girls are apparently looking to keep the tour going.
Mel C told Billboard: “I think for us right now, the big thing is we don’t want it to end.”
She went on to say:
“We’ve had an incredible run here in the U.K… We’ve had so many fans that have visited us from all over the world. People have come from New Zealand, North America, South America, everywhere. I think we’d really like to take it out to the fans that haven’t been able to travel but have supported us all these years. So that would be the immediate thing.”
It does seem like the most logical next step for the girl group – who have gone on the short reunion tour without one of their members – Victoria Beckham, aka Posh Spice. Victoria was not involved in the reunion tour apparently due to other commitments and working on her fashion line. But let’s be honest, if they go out on a world tour, everyone would LOOOOVE to see Posh Spice join back up with her girls for some shows!
While she didn’t perform with her former bandmates on any of the 13 UK shows, she did wish them luck as they began their tour. She had shared an Instagram with the caption: “Good luck to the girls today as they start their tour! #FriendshipNeverEnds”
