I just saw a tiktok about Michel Nkuka Mboladinga, a DR Congo soccer fan who basically became a legend during the Africa Cup of Nations. This guy went viral not for yelling or painting his face, but for standing totally still in the stands, dressed in suit coloured after the Congolese flag, as a tribute to Patrice Lumumba. It takes a lot to stand out (literally) compared to other out there fan celebrations, but he’s done it.

Hell, the guy even looks like a statue.
Now, it sounds like Mboladinga is headed to the FIFA World Cup because the Congolese Football Federation is covering everything for him, flights, hotels, the works. And reportedly, it was the players pushing for him to be there, and the president of the federation gave it the green light. Now, he did have issues with his visa but those have also been sorted and he’ll be there for sure.
