Reader here, and the Health Foundation Cash Lottery is back for 2026!
The grand prize? $1,000 a week, for an entire year! That’s a total of $52,000!
Not only that, but there are also some great secondary prizes, including a $5,000 prize, five $1,000 prizes, and, of course, the growing 50/50 jackpot!
Who doesn’t love a 50/50? It doesn’t matter if it’s a hockey game, fall supper, dance recital, or anything in between… everyone loves a 50/50!
How do you get your tickets? Easy peasy.
Get them over the phone, by calling 1-800-636-3243. Grab them online, at https://thehealthfoundation.ca/cash-lottery , or stop by the Health Foundation office, at 41 Betts Avenue in Yorkton, and get them in person. We’d love to see you!
Now there are two great things about your ticket purchase. Firstly, you have a chance to win multiple awesome cash prizes!
If your ticket is drawn for one of the prizes, it goes right back into the draw drum, and you have the chance to win again!
Secondly, and more importantly, when you get your tickets, it’s a donation to the Health Foundation of East Central Saskatchewan.
The Health Foundation is completely independent – it receives no funding from the provincial government and Saskatchewan Health Authority. All money is raised locally by the Foundation, and stays in the community, to improve local health care, through the purchase of medical equipment and expansion of services, to allow top-quality health care right here at home, serving you and your family, friends, neighbours, and co-workers.
Through the Health Foundation, we’re taking the bull by the horns as a community, and working together to improve local health care!
This year, the main fundraising goals are to expand the Endoscopy surgical suite at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre, allowing for another five to six-hundred procedures to be performed each year. As well, the Foundation is working to purchase another ultrasound machine and accessories to serve the area, giving the students taking the Diagnostic Sonography program at Suncrest College (also supported by the Health Foundation), the chance to put their skills to use during their practicum at the Yorkton Hospital.
This really is a “feel-good” ticket, because whether you win a prize or not, you’re helping to contribute to the overall health of your community, both now, and into the future!
I know I’m going to get my tickets – I love the chance of winning money, and I love making my home a better place. It’s a win-win proposition!
