Emma Stone isn’t here for any Miss Piggy rumors. In a new W Magazine interview, the actress humorously shut down speculation about playing the iconic Muppet in her upcoming movie with Jennifer Lawrence. Stone called it “the biggest insult to Miss Piggy I’ve ever heard” and made it clear that only the original can play herself.
Stone doubled down on her admiration, joking, “Why would I play a literal star? She’s the greatest.” She went on to say that neither she nor Lawrence could ever compare, playfully asking if people are “out of their mind.”
With her signature wit, Stone wrapped up by insisting Miss Piggy would be “storming out right now at the mere suggestion.” One thing’s clear: when it comes to Miss Piggy, there’s no substitute for the real deal.
