So Nintendo’s having their big Nintendo Direct this morning, and lo and behold they announce the one thing nobody was expecting: the return of the Virtual Boy! If you’re unfamiliar, it was one of the earlier forays into a (kinda) virtual reality in the 90s. The execution was abysmal, with very few selling due to the neck and eye strain they caused, as well as the lack of games (only 22 were ever made).
But, where there’s a will there’s a way to make money and Nintendo knows that people will buy anything with their logo on it, so now it’s back! And with absolutely zero improvements to alleviate the issues the original had, you too can gift your children back and eye pain for what’s sure to be an exorbitant price.
