I’ve been pretty on the go for 2026 so far, so haven’t had the chance to crack into my Christmas gift (to myself lol). But today I was scrolling tiktok and realized I would rather be doing literally anything else, so might as well do something fun! And if The Lord of the Rings taught me anything, it’s that things worth doing are worth doing with friends (and listeners). And also never to trust free jewelry.

Hoo boy, this is gonna be a big one.

Maybe the most perfect Lego representation of a face I’ve ever seen.

Always satisfying to watch it slowly come together. And I’m always super impressed by the ability of Lego designers to make natural looking slopes and organic features out of a system of connecting blocks. Crazy.

I will say, the trees are a little underwhelming in this set. It’s understandable, as otherwise the parts count would just balloon and the price would go along with it. Oh well.

Another wing added.

And Bag End complete! Lots of great details here (peep the boomerangs for the front fence!)

Maybe my favourite part of the set no matter how small it is. Merry and Pippin’s fireworks display gone wrong, and alternate faces and hair to show the aftermath lol

And all in with Bilbo’s stage and cake all set for his eleventy-first birthday! Truly one of the most fun times I’ve ever had building a set, and I highly recommend it if you’ve got the cash to spare! Hopefully they make even more LOTR sets, and hopefully they’re easier on the wallet or else I’ll go bankrupt. If you’ve got a set of your own that you’ve built recently, drop pics in the comments!
