A Calder man has stood trial in connection with a death in that area.
In June of 2023, Mounties were called to a home in the Calder district, to conduct a wellness check on 61-year-old Bentley Bauming, and he was found dead.
The next day, 50-year-old Curtis Sokoloski was arrested in Russell, and charged with second degree murder, and committing an indignity to a human body.
A two-week trial wrapped up on Friday in Yorkton Court of King’s Bench, where the judge adjourned a decision on the case to Feb. 12.
