FORT QU’APPELLE – A woman from Peepeekisis Cree Nation has died following a two-vehicle collision on Highway 10 near the File Hills First Nation junction.
Fort Qu’Appelle RCMP were called to the scene around 6 p.m. on Nov. 16, when a semi and an SUV crashed roughly 13 kilometres east of Balcarres, Sask. Local fire crews and EMS also responded.
RCMP say the SUV’s driver, a 62-year-old woman who was the only person in the vehicle, was taken to hospital by EMS but was later pronounced dead.
The driver of the semi did not report any physical injuries.
A Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist is assisting with the investigation, which remains ongoing.
