The Health Foundation’s 17th annual Charity Road Race took place on Sunday morning.
With the air freshly cleansed by a recent thunderstorm, it was the perfect setting for the 163 participants.
The event saw 112 runners and 51 walkers come together to raise an impressive $22,320
A special shout out to the top fundraiser, Geoff Propp, who single-handedly raised $12,040.
Sponsorship covered the event costs, ensuring that all registration fees and pledges went directly towards purchasing medical equipment for the Yorkton Regional Hospital including a new chemical analyzer for the lab at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre.
The Charity Road Race featured three exciting categories: a 5km, a 10km, and a junior 2km.
Congratulations to all the winners:
– Junior 2km: Bram Chevalier (9:12)
– Men’s 5km: Leon Lereoux (21:51)
– Women’s 5km: Brandy Chevalier (25:32)
– Men’s 10km: Cody Eisner (42:50)
– Women’s 10km: Tracy Newton (51:34)
