Two Yorkton Terriers have been rewarded for their strong weeks as SJHL Player of the Week awards recipients.

Terrier captain Jaron Desnoyers was named Forward of the Week, while rookie Thomas Ries was awarded with SJHL Defenceman of the Week.

Desnoyers contributed six points in three games this past weekend, including a two-goal performance in Saturday’s win over Battlefords and a three-point night in the Terriers’ win on Sunday against the Notre Dame Hounds.

Meanwhile Ries, a Humboldt product had four points in three games and now sits 30 points, which has him seventh in scoring among SJHL Defenceman.

Other award winners included: Madden Mullawka (MVP), Cody Jaman (Goalie), Brady Holtvogt (Rookie), and Zac Somers (Sask. born Player of the Week).
