Terriers; Millionaires both victorious on Tuesday Night

TERRIERS 5, HOUNDS 4 

The Yorkton Terriers got a late goal from Brett Butz with 1:22 remaining to lead them to a 5-4 road victory over the Notre Dame Hounds on Tuesday night. 

Jeff Hammond scored twice for the Terriers in the win while netminder Ethan Farrow made 33 saves on 37 shots in the win.

Anthony Domina and Colton Koran also chipped in with singles for Yorkton while Jaron Desnoyers had 3 helpers. 

Rocsyn Bird, Paul Bloomer, Ashton Breyer  and Jacon Landeen led the Hounds with 1G 1A each while Hounds G Spencer Borsos stopped 28 of 33 shots in the loss. 

The Terriers now just 4 points back of Weyburn for the final playoff spot will go right back at it on Wednesday night hosting the Kindersley Klippers at the Westland Arena. 

Speaking of the Klippers, 

Kindersley began their 4 games in 5 nights road trip on Tuesday with a 1-0 defeat at the hands of the Melville Millionaires. 

Joel Mabin’s goal in the late stages of the 1st period stood up to the be the game winner, while William Dyke turned aside all 26 shots he faced for his 3rd shutout of the season. 

Cody Jaman made 31 saves on 32 shots to suffer the loss in the Klippers net. 

The Millionaires next game will be on Friday night once against the Klippers at the CN Community Center.
