Two Melville Millionaires have rewarded for their offensive efforts of the past week being named SJHL Weekly Award Winners.
Third-year defenceman and 20 year old Colby Ball was named for the 2nd time, SJHL Defenceman of the Week while forward Luc Bydal captured the SJHL Rookie of the Week award.
Ball, a product of Sherwood Park, Alberta,in a massive divisional game on Saturday netted pair of goals and add an assist as the Millionaires knocked off the Weyburn.
Ball sits with 11 goals and 18 assists this year and is tied for 9th in scoring among SJHL defencemen.
Meanwhile Bydal, hailing from Grand Forks, ND had a goal and two assists in a 6-3 win over the Kindersley Klippers Wednesday and then picked up a goal and an assist over Weyburn,
He now has now has 16 goals and 15 assists in his first season and ranks 5th in rookie scoring.
Other weekly award winners included: Estevan’s Keagon Litte (MVP of the Week), Battlefords’ Ben Portner (Forward of the Week), La Ronge netminder Toper Chirico (Goalie of the Week, and Regina product & Estevan Bruins D Blake Heward (Saskatchewan Player of the Week).
